Mo Jarju: Co-Founder
Mo is a West African-American who splits his time between West Africa and the United States. He works for Global Journalists Security, providing Hostile Environment and Emergency First Aid Training. Mo was a Talibé between the ages of 7 and 8. He has worked in 31 different African countries and speaks Soninke, Fulani, Wolof, Jola, Mandinka, and English.
Moriah Lee: Co-Founder
Moriah is a returned Economic Development Peace Corps Volunteer. Before Peace Corps, Moriah earned the same Masters as her MMI co-founder, Quentin— Global Finance, Trade, and Economic Integration from the University of Denver. She has worked for multilaterals in Nashville, Denver, and DC. She now lives in Nashville, and spends her time with her family and on the phone with her friends, Mo and Quentin.
Quentin Good: Co-Founder
Quentin is a returned Economic Development Peace Corps Volunteer. He has a Master of Arts in Global Finance, Trade, and Economic Integration from the University of Denver. He speaks advanced Wolof, but his French is terrible! Quentin now lives and works in Austin. He enjoys board games, creative writing and guitar, and Star Trek.
Tidiane Amadou Seck
Tidiane is a High School Principal, who currently serves as Mansa Musa’s Senegalese representative. He has been building MMI’s Senegalese team as well as leading our Market Research. At a young age, Tidiane was sent to be a Talibé after his parents’ passing. He speaks 6 languages and is a devout Muslim. He currently works and lives with his family in the Senegalese region of Tambacounda.
Our Volunteers
We are a board-operated, volunteer-led organization, allowing for your donations to go directly to our programming. We have a multitude of volunteers from all walks of life, without whom we would not be able to exist. They range from late-stage professionals to tech-savvy undergrads. Henry Knecht
Henry is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer. He worked as a Health Volunteer in Senegal and as the Peace Corps Malaria Coordinator in Liberia. Henry is our Grants Manager at MMI, helping us find funding for our work. He has a Master's degree in Security Policy Studies from George Washington University's Elliott School. Henry currently resides in the DC area and works in the Telecommunications industry as an analyst focusing on the Middle East and Africa.
Hjalmar Breit
Hjalmar is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, who serves as MMI’s M&E guru. He earned his Master's in International Political Economy and Development via the Arrupe Fellowship at Fordham University. He simultaneously worked at the United Nations Development Programme as an assistant with the Equator Initiative. He just wrapped up his role Catholic Relief Services in Kigali, Rwanda, and is now working in the DC area.
